We're Counting on Anyone and Everyone

We rely on your participation to ensure the thoroughness of our reports.

Anyone can be a contributor simply by visiting our Web site and reporting any incidents or accidents that they observe. Your report will be used to prevent future water incidents and accident, so please contribute.

Categories of Membership

Contributing Member: any person or organization who operates or has
contact with those who live, work or play in, on, or around water. We
ask that these members forward information about water related incidents
to WIRA by any means available to them. Those requiring comprehensive
information about current and past water incidents and drownings would
pay an annual fee of $100. This would entitle one person (“port”) within
the organization to access standard reports at any time via the WIRA
website. Additional access is available for $35 per port per year.
Contributing Members who have special requests for specific multi-field
comparison reports and special data search information or comparisons
not provided in the standard reports can be accommodated. This service is
available for an additional fee starting at a base price of $300. Final
fees are dependent upon the amount of time and supplies required to
prepare the report.

Associate Member: any person or organization who does not contribute data
to WIRA, but would like access to the information. An annual licensing
fee of $200 entitles one person (“port”) within the organization to
access standard reports at any time via the WIRA website. Additional
access is available for $35 per port per year. Associate Members who
have special requests for specific multi-field comparison reports1 and
special data search information or comparisons not provided in the
standard reports can be accommodated. This service is available for an
additional fee starting at a base price of $400. Final fees are
dependent upon the amount of time and supplies required to prepare the
report.

Supporting Member: any provincial, national, or other large
organization. An annual licensing fee of $1200 affords the
organization 5 “ports” to access standard reports at any time via the
WIRA website. Additional access is available for $35 per port per year.
Supporting Members who have special requests for specific multi-field
comparison reports1 and special data search information or comparisons
not provided in the standard reports can be accommodated. This service
is available for an additional cost starting at a base price of $400.
Final fees are dependent upon the amount of time and supplies required to
prepare the report. Supporting Members receive a final reconciled Water
Incident (Drowning & Incident) report on an annual basis.

Patron Member: includes the founding organizations, agencies, charities
and individuals who formed the alliance of WIRA as well as other
interested organizations or individuals strongly committed to furthering
WIRA's mission and goals. Patrons contribute substantial support to
advance the mission and work of WIRA as their roles and interests are
closely aligned with water incident and drowning prevention. Patron
members receive periodic updates, a yearly draft summary Water Incident
report and a final reconciled Water Incident report on an annual basis.
Should you be a Patron? For more information, contact WIRA.
